  1. Kyle says:

Do you know the location of the Club the harem goes to in the third episode of the first season? I live in Charlotte and I did not recognize it.

    • Geoff says:

Not offhand, but I will see if I can figure it out. They filmed at the Ritz for that episode, and Lynne Reed gets shot in the alley between the McGlohon Theater and the Library, so perhaps somewhere around there. I will see if I can find it.

      • Kyle says:

The house where they question Assal Hamid after bringing him back from Islamabad would also be interesting. Looks like it might be a Red House on Lake Norman.

    • Robert says:

      The club was Club Phoenix

  2. Jay says:

Does anyone know where Carrie was kidnapped out of her car? I believe in the show they said it was “17th Street.”

    Thanks.

  8. rose says:

what city in iraq is the episode Tower of David season 3 filmed? interesting looking city. thanks!

  9. rose says:

I meant…..what city “supposedly” in Iraq is the episode Tower of David filmed. sorry

    • Geoff says:

Apparently they filmed the Tower of David stuff in Puerto Rico as well, and used some CGI to make it look more like Caracas.

  10. Marion says:

Having lived in VT, I’m pretty sure they didn’t use it for the scene where Javidi crosses the boarder. There were a row of pine trees, but they might have been props or maybe a park or something where they were planted? Do you know where it was shot? Also just want to say, the show makes your town look really good.

  11. Drew says:

Anyone know when these episodes where actually filmed? Last nights episode had me wondering since Dana looked older than she did in last week episode (Chris looked a bit older too). Wonder if they shot those first 5 episodes earlier in the year and then the last episode a few weeks or so ago…Glad to have a site that lists actual filming spots!!!

  12. David Endson says:

Carrie Confronts Saul About Leaking Information to Press – Episode 1
Capital Grille, 201 N. Tryon St, Charlotte NC

The restaurant is Carpe Diem, not Capital Grille

  13. Dan Eicher says:

Dar Adal Meets with Leland Bennett – Episode 8

The “law offices of Bennett, Parr & Hamilton” is the Lincoln Harris office on the 8th floor of 4725 Piedmont Row Dr (Piedmont Town Center – Building 2). Del Frisco is on the ground floor.

The graphics on the office doors were changed the day of the shoot (and changed back 2 days later 🙂 )

  14. Debbie says:

What quary was used to depict Iraq/Iran border? Believe it’s in episode 10 of season 3.

  15. Steve says:

This past Sunday’s episode (Dec. 1, 2013) had me curious about the filming location of the Iraq border scene. My initial thought was that this was another scene where they where they shot out of North Carolina.
But at the end of the episode there was commentary that the location director found a huge rock quarry on Google Earth and then physically located it. I thought that was an ingenious idea and kept filming local.
Which brings me to my point. I enjoy reading your scene locations and get a kick out of some of the places I’ve known all my life or drive by regularly.
So know I want to know – where is this rocky quarry? I check the site every day now hoping for your updates!

    Standing By,

    Steve

  16. Cham says:

When will episode 9 locations be posted?

  17. Jim says:

Any idea where the scenes of Brody shown in Iran were actually shot in ‘Big Man in Tehran’ (S3, ep.11) ?

  18. tom says:

just saw the last episode (12) of season three last night and i assume that all the tehran scenes were shot in morocco….., the town in the background, after Brody escaped from the revolutionary-guards headquarter and kicked the guy out of the car, might have been Tangiers or Fez.

The lovely place, where Saul and his wife where having breakfast on the roof-terrace is defenitely the small town of Assilah on the northern moroccan atlantic coast.

    • Homeland fun says:

But that place is in Greek style, as if Saul and his wife were in Cyclades like saying Mykonos or Santorini.

    • Paul says:

It appears that the scenes were shot in Casablanca, defo. In fact, that security guard who is protecting Brody is a well-known Moroccan actor/comedian. But in terms of the “Tehran”-street scenes defo Casablanca.

    • daniel says:

the scene on the rooftop terrace was definitely filmed in assilah. I had breakfast on the same terrace the last few mornings. A friend owns the place. Assilah is beautiful little town on the atlantic coast. Worth a visit.

Do you know the location of the horse stable where Rex and Brody talk in episode 7?

  22. Yvonne says:

Where did they film the Caracas sequences? Did they just use old film footage?

  23. james says:

Homeland series 4: I saw with interest that some of the filming locations were known to me, in and near my home town of Cape Town. Does anyone have a list of all the locations used I wonder?

  24. Luis says:

Carrie Checks in to Hotel – Episode 11
Sofitel Rabat Jardin Des Roses, BP 450 Souissi, Rabat 10000, Morocco

I believe this is incorrect. My girlfriend and I both believe it is the Riu Tikida Palace Agadir, Morocco. We both stayed here a few months ago and the front desk is identical, as well as the fountain and gift shop in the background.

  25. tom says:

I guess none of the films have been filmed outside the US? Living in Islamabad and to see the obviously errrors made in the serie when trying to “copy” Pakistan and cities is quite disapointing. Wish they had done some footage researts. Dont they even know about truck arts?
It’s an intreaging serie though – when not beeing bothered by all distractions made by the unfamiliar scenes.

  26. julie kelley says:

Does anyone know where jax and Tara’s house is?

  27. Ayush Nehra says:

What is the location of the Hotel/Apartments that Quinn lives in, in Season 4. Surely it is back in USA but where.

  28. Jeff Boyle says:

Just started watching the series…and loving it……question…….how does Tim Hortons coffee get onto a set in N.Carolina?

  29. Paul says:

    Where’s Season 4 & 5?

  30. A P says:

Hi does anyone know which CHAPEL/CHURCH was used for the last episode of Season 5 as the hospital chapel???
Would be much appreciated thank you!

  31. Kanwer says:

Can i know the locations of Season 4? As ISI headquarters etc ?

  32. Howard says:

How come when they get coffee in season 2 it’s from Tim Hortons, a Canadian coffee chain? Like final episode where Carrie goes to get croissants while at cabin with Brody. Also when they take down Roya at the diner. Quinn brings into the command center

  33. Achilles says:

Does anyone know which episode season 5 Carrie meets an informant in Berlin in a house that used to be part of US Army housing during 1960s?

  34. Emily Kirk says:

Where is the restaurant that Dar Adal and Saul were in tonight in season 6, ep 2? It looked just like a restaurant I was in the last time I was in NYC.

  35. Emily Kirk says:

Pretty sure the restaurant is Orsay on Lexington Ave. Now I need to go back and watch the episode because I spent the whole time trying to figure that out.

  36. Christian says:

Do you know the location of the house that Astrid takes Peter to in season 6, episode 7? Thanks!

  37. Christian says:

Do you know the location of the house that Astrid takes Peter to in season 6, episode 7? Thanks!

  38. Moo says:

Carrie and Brody’s Cabin on the Lake looks an awful lot like the house Astrid took Quinn to in s06e07.

  39. cdshop says:

Where is the lake house Astrid takes Peter – cool house!!

  40. Shirley says:

The church in the opening of Season 5 episode 1?

  42. Nick says:

Season 7 Episode 2. The house that O’Keefe is hiding out at. Was that house used in a movie? I feel like I remember someone being there and recognizing a face in a picture. I want to say it was “I know what you did last summer” or something like that.

    • Geoff says:

Not to my knowledge. Pretty sure I Know What You Did Last Summer was filmed in NC. The O’Keefe house is in Powhatan VA

  43. hunders says:

Sofitel Rabat is an amazing hotel with a wonderful orchard in front of the breakfast terrace, in the spring the smells from the garden are amazing. I have a fond memory of my stay there ten years ago.

  44. margo says:

hi, great website! wondering if you know where the country house is in season 6 episode 8, Alt.Truth – looks like the Berkshires? i know claire dane has a cottage there. would love to know, thanks!

Re. The “Russian dacha” (that was actually a riverside mansion, in Hungary): Anyone know where that is, exactly?

Stunning house, that they even had proper floor plans for.
