Beach scenes for hotel in s.1 ep12 appear to be Paradise Beach Cove, looking back toward Point Dume, as Lena and Bridget are talking as they walk along the beach.
Ref: “the establishing shot” query above: if this is where Mickey rings Ray to ask to speak one more time before leaving, & he is carrying his luggage in the driveway/portico, with a valet parking and sign behind saying “Caveat Beach Resort”, it is also the driveway and entrance of 5941 Philips Ave in Malibu

What beach was Mickey swimming at for season 2 episode 1? They say their in Rosarita Beach Mexico, but I’ve been there and the water is not blue like that at all and the ocean is very rough.

Where is the unbelievably gorgeous home used for the Andew Finney residence scene in Season 3, Episode 1?
It’s located at 630 Nimes Rd in LA (Bel Air). I added a map of it to the locations page for season 3.

I believe so, yes.
Seems like they shoot a lot at the motels across from my house, in the 11700 block of Washington Blvd. at the Cafe and Hotel Brasil and the Paradise Motel. They are there tonite. But I never see this location mentioned
I am pretty sure they used it for Episode 2×7 (Walk this Way) as the hotel where Abby and Jim are at. The part where Abby steps outside to talk to Ray on the phone matches up with the railings/doors at the motel, but I couldn’t find a good picture to match the interior, which is why I never added it.

Are u sure mickeys apartment complex is in canoga park? In season 3 episode
7 there’s a night time shot of him inside the apartment and u can see the circus liquor clowns reflection in the window which I think is in north Hollywood. Maybe they just shot interiors there?
Yeah. They only use the actual apartment complex for the exterior stuff (by the pool, etc). The interiors of Mickey’s apartment, etc, are just a set with a fake backdrop showing Circus Liquors, etc.

I had to rewind the closing scenes of series 3 episode 12 and just look at that view as they drove down the road towards the city. What a gorgeous sight as that building got bigger! Is that just the approach to L.A? I went there a lot of years ago but I don’t recall seeing that view.
That’s the view from the Glendale freeway as you approach the Ventura freeway from the north east.

The scene where Hector’s sister is on TV and everyone in the gym is watching there is a poster to the left of the TV with the boxer Steve Traitz Jr as the headliner. He was a young boxer back in the 80s-90s from the Philadelphia area. I knew him and his family and also the other boxers on the card. I was wondering how the poster made it to the Ray Donovan series? It was not. The courtyard of Melrose was a set. The exterior is 4616 Greenwood Place in LA.

Do you know the location of Ivan Belikov’s house? In the episodes where it is featured I believe Ray mentions having to go to Chatsworth. There is wind blowing each time we see the house.
