I met Vanilla Ice back in 2005 when he had his shop (To The Extreme) on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. Pretty good film. Should have done better than it did at the box office.

I’m sorry about the date mix up….it was actually 1995….sorry.

I agree with Ben Johnson. Movie is good, fun, entertainment. Dance and soundtrack are dope

I live in Glendora and ditched high school that day to go see the filming. Vanilla Ice gave me his autograph. He is kind of a dick. He was on his motorcycle getting ready to film the scene where he rides downtown. He just handed out the autograph with out saying anything. I said “Dick” and walked away. I didn’t want his autograph anyway. It was for my friend Diana who was too star struck to ask. One thing I remember about him was that he has crazy hairy fingers!

Funny thing about this movie for me personally, as I’ve seen it about 50 times when I was teenager, is that Kristin Minter looked like a girl that used to babysit me when I was 7 years old. I was really torn in a way. On one side that girl was like my older sister in a way, but on the other hand I got a crush on Kristin Minter… I was very confused most of the time around her. This movie is like a summer memory in my mind, which is not surprising to me now because it was filmed by Janusz Kaminzki, a famous director of photography who worked with Steven Spielberg many times. His style is very recognizable and I would say this movie is cool in its own way, its like a long music video in a way. So of course, as a result of my whole impression of the movie at that time I had very similar haircut, brick wall at the back of my head 🙂
